"Independent sources of history are fine, but would you say a manuscript written by a man called Edwin with no citations relaying history from 150 years ago is a reliable "independent" historical narrative? How does Edwin know this "alternative history"? Was he there? If not, who was there to witness this sequence of events? If another witness, then who is the witness? "

Just for interest, Edwin is not the author of the article on that website.

    "Bahaism and Its Claims"
A Study of the Religion Promulgated by Baha Ullah and Abdul Baha By SAMUEL GRAHAM WILSON, D. D.
Thirty-two Years Resident in Persia Author of "Persian Life and Customs," etc.
    Published 1915.

Claiming to be of help to those American (ex Christian) Bahai's by including the Persian aspect and influence of Bahai at the time.
Lots and lots and lots of footnotes and material from that time.
No idea how accurate it is but definitely seems sincerely researched and not particularly anti Bahai.

Do you know of it and Is it regarded as an "authenticated" source ?
