The flu was contained because the emphasis was placed on the vulnerability of the elderly who were mostly in stricter isolation. They weren't out at bingo, raffles, line dancing, caravaning and grandkids which are the main cause of spread were not visiting. This resulted in only 3 presentations to hospitals and only 2 deaths from the flu in 2021.
