    Wally,
As mentioned in the report shell said no to the area which they surveyed using CSEM data this was only a PART l repeat PART of the 3 Senegal blocks as a matter of fact Shell was interested in the Santonian Fan systems.

The 3 Senegal blocks have MUTIPLE plays not just one, also there were SEVERAL OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES perhaps in the Massive Buried hill play
At this moment the 3 senegal blocks are currently valued at 0 cents IMO complete over reaction by the market....

    Hartleys 04/05/2009 REPORT

3D seismic over the Senegal acreage has revealed several prospects of significant size.

We believe that Shell is most interested in the Santonian Age Fan reservoirs, each of which is interpreted to contain mean oil in place of 183 million barrels. The southernmost prospect has multiple stacked potential in these fans and has exhibited high amplitude anomalies on 3D seismic that may indicate the presence of hydrocarbons,

    Hartleys 25/08/2008 REPORT

    FAR’s main targeted play
in offshore Senegal was originally Santonian age fans. Three of these
structures have subsequently been identified by the recent 3D
seismic with potential closures in the order of 30km2. Each of these
fans is prognosed to contain up to 750mmbbls of oil in-place.

In addition to this, a different play, known as a buried hill, has been
indicated by the seismic. The prospect in this play dwarfs the potential in the fans originally targeted with an estimated structural
    closure of 178km2.

This is a step change in expectations for the
potential of the acreage from over a billion barrels of oil in-place to over a billion barrels of oil recoverable.

Prospect C1 (Expected Ultimate Recovery 180-320mmbo) – Cenomanian sandstone reservoirs in sub-
    Senonian unconformity with 4-way depth
    closure. Sandstones with porosities >24%
have been encountered in wells in the area.

    • Prospect N3 (Expected Ultimate Recovery
    120-418mmbo) – Large 72km2 4-way closure at
    the Aptian carbonate margin.

    • Leads N2-N5 –Aptain build-ups
    • Lead N6 –Aptian carbonate 4 way dip closure
    • Lead N1 – Subtle 4-way dip closure at Aptian
    and Senonian levels
    • Lead SA1 – Santonian Submarine fan complex
    • Lead SEN1-SEN7 – Senonian turbidite sands
