Please realise that all the bleating and panic-mongering cannot change the outcome for the climate. It is quite beyond our control, and to imagine otherwise amounts to megalomania.
What is not completely beyond our control is that we have the technology to help us to adapt as might, or might not, be required.
Any actions that deny us access to the power bequeathed to us by our technology may limit our ability to adapt.
