The calls by retailers for a level playing field are the height of hypocricy. These companies are no better than robber barons.
The idea of a level playing field is new for them.
Remember these companies have exclusive import deals which prohibited competition for a century. They have exclusive import rights so they could charge many times what US consumers were paying.
They have been robbing us blind. They bent us over and screwed us while we couldn't do anything about it. The internet has exposed them.
Why should we pay much more for books or clothes than US consumers. My local monopoly car dealership is charging about 5 times the price of the same car parts in the US.
Shake the Robber Barons off your back, stand up, pull up your strides and walk away from them, you are now freed.
