I post this for you CromagnonMan only because you asked....

Yesterday, I took the liberty to contact Microgenix and AFT in relation regarding their claims to the SARS virus posting on their web site. Owning a small company I was expecting a quick response as it proved excellent turnaround and service from Microgenix and AFT.

The first reply is from Andy Beckett at Microgenix,

The Microgenix components have been tested against similar viruses to SARS with great success, and hence we are confident that it would destroy SARS. We are currently putting together the testing procedures in order to demonstrate the Microgenix system against SARS - Which will make it the only system in the world tested against the live virus. Due to the tests already completed on various surrogates, we are confident that it will pass these tests.
