haha it's so funny you mention that, I was going to put up about looking at trades as a multiple (over a specific time period) rather than a single win or loss. I look at my time I put into trading (roughly) and my monthly turnover and get an hourly wage. So many times on the DT thread you see people quoting big wins proudly.. I think that's a bad sign.

While I enjoy trading so there is a sort of compensation there, if my earnings per time were significantly less than my engineering wage I would give up trading and simply do indexed stock choices (like IOZ or STW) and dollar-cost-average. No point spending time if you cannot justify it when there is so much to explore in the world.
