    The majority of Australia's energy generation still comes from fossil fuels though, there's no way the grid can cope with everyone going to solar let alone everyone having an EV to charge and then large industry. In some areas, they switch off the solar feed to the grid during peak generation hours due to not overloading the grid.

    My main point here is that Twiggy put the hydrogen plan on hold due to future Govts not being interested in green fuels. If they're not going to subsidies it, it's going to make it a lot harder to compete with existing energy production and a lot harder to get it off the ground.
