has anyone actually gone to woolworths lately

It's crap.

They've removed the fresh fish section and replaced it with various large slabs of mediocre fish under cling wrap.

They've made it largely self serve at the checkout. They now have 1 or 2 people actually serving in the eight items or less section with about 15 people in the queue and some self serve checkouts.

Specials, there are basically none or they are immaterial but you can buy two items at a discounted price. Woolworths I don't want to buy two items and part with more money than I intended.

Over recent years going to Woolworth has been a pleasurable experience and everyone was happy and the bottom line benefitted with the share price going from $5 to $35 since 1999.

Now with some very short sighted attempt to cut costs the experince is anything but pleasurable.

Oh how I hope Woolworths is punished by a loss of revenue and a reduction in their share price.
