has anyone done the calcs working vs dole?

    Has anyone done the calculations of a family of say 2 adults and 2 kids.
    dad works earning $52k a year.. mum stay at home..kids ages 6 and 10..

    The other family no-one works
    They both rent a houses next to each other at $350 a week rent.

    I am wondering what the actual income differences would be ...then also the added cost for the worker of tranport to work..etc....
