Geez guys you must be in a protective bubble. I know of about 20 professional acquaintances who have contracted C19 from March 2020 (1), Oct 2020 (1), and now Oct-Dec 2021 (say 18, nearly if not all vaccinated). A couple had quite severe symptoms, most had symptoms probably on par or less than the vaccine (AZ first, Pfizer 2nd). Looks like we are indeed starting to live with it, much like influenza.
Sympathy goes to those with worse outcomes, of course, and best wishes to all for the New Year.
