I've spoken to maria a couple of times this week and there is nothing either positive or negative to be gleaned from her comments as she is quick to point out that she can't say or even hint at any outcome.

She did state that:

- PT was bogged down in paperwork;

- an announcement would probably be made this week (no hints as to which way it would swing); and

- that lawyers were not involved in processing the shougang outcome as all T&Cs had been refined prior to their meeting.

Now this last point initially seemed positive to me but we don't know what the T&Cs were configured to do ie is the deal still what we expect or has our poor sp given shougang leverage to bend us over?

I really got nothing from her but as each day goes by I feel more certain the news will not provide the surge we want.

Buyers are currently gambling on a lunchtime announcement. Price will fall hard if they're disappointed...
