review of sp shows that following 1 for 10 consolidation share price was under 15c, i.e., prior to consolidation share price was less than 1.5c. Further back in history C3 was trading considerably higher, perhaps that's to what you refer. I believe in fact sp must get above $3 for those who invested in C3 at its peak (in 2004)to break even. The consolidation occurred with merger of C3 and VSG in mid-2008 at which time C3 was in the death throes. Consolidation of course does not change the company's market capitalisation, just reduces number of shares. AVH also did a buy back of unmarketable parcels. While never a happy option, consolidation was at that time a smart action - at least lifted sp out the 1c range and decreased number of shares on issue by 10x getting the capital structure under control - AVH would otherwise today have over 3 BILLION shares outstanding.
