Mental health issues are very very complex. Whether they are able to be successfully treated or not, often is gauged by the cause. If it is caused by a certain situation/happening (affair with friends girlfriend as has been suggested by others) it may well be treated quite easily. If it is caused by substance abuse, namely recreational drugs it may well be a slippery downhill slope with limited medication success. Irrespective, get well Buddy, you have been a champion AFL footy player.
