I'm sure all loyal WES holders remember Merrill Lynch analyst David Errington, who spent more than a year twisting the knife in WES at every opportunity during the first days of the Coles turnaround.

Amidst all the analyst "BRAVO's" since yesterday's profit announcement, Errington has beeen conspicuously AWOL. What's the problem, David? Too big an ego to eat some humble pie and say "Maybe I got it a bit wrong."

Or as WES might say with Mark Twain "the rumours of my death have been greatly exaggerated."

Now, of course, the noise re "breakup value of the WES conglomerate" again has its moment in the sun...
