Federal Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has backed the use of Victoria’s riot act to prevent protests being held on October 7, stating Premier Jacinta Allan must “do everything at her disposal” to stop the rallies taking place.

Politicians from both sides of politics have urged pro-Palestinian activists not to organise or attend rallies on the one year anniversary of the horrific terrorist attacks that left more than 1,200 dead.

and no I don't claim to put all of Sky's story on this post.

but surely Dutton is being too "assertive". I use the stupid quote things to highlight the ludicrous nature of the adjective.

what right does Dutton think he has to demand such of the Premier of a Aussie state?

and what if there isn';t a riot? what if its a lot of old grannies (no I won't be there)?? or if there are no flags at all?

in NSW I'm aware the rally organisers have compromised considerably to enable the rally to go ahead. and it'll be on their heads should the rally be invaded by aggro agitators. they'll be no doubt keen to keep with the restrictions of the licence.

so what if Dutton has no trigger? he doesn't care.... all he's doing is virtue signalling. buying votes.
