Dear Sir,
Re: Quarterly Activities Report
Set out below is the Activities Report for the three months ended 30 June 2005
Nickel Project, Palawan, Philippines (18.7% interest) Project activities during the period were focused on compliance with essential documentary requirements for the Environmental Impact Assessment and in seeking the permits and clearances from appropriate Philippine Government agencies. The Environmental Impact Statement prepared by independent consultants Maunsell Philippines Inc. was reviewed, edited and finalised for submission to the Environmental Management Bureau for technical review and ultimate approval of the issuance of an Environmental Compliance Certificate, the essential clearance to allow mining development to legally commence. Much effort was focused on strict compliance with the requirements under the Indigenous Peoples Rights Act and in successfully securing various municipal government resolutions to change the land-use zoning to provide a firm legal foundation for the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development to issue mandatory clearance under the Strategic Environmental Plan for Palawan. This work is progressing well. Contracts were executed between the local government unit and an engineering contractor for rehabilitation of some 15+kilometres of access road to the nickel deposit site. Work to implement this rehabilitation will commence on August 01, 2005 and is scheduled to be completed within four months. Printed custom-designed booklets were prepared for delivery to all affected indigenous peoples in the project vicinity to provide easily understood additional project information and educational material preparatory to the final public meeting scheduled for late August, 2005.
Towards the end of the quarter, McPhar Geosurveys Ltd. was engaged to carry out radiometric, magnetic and gravity surveys over the 7,100 hectares claim areas in the Central Labrador Trough of Quebec, Canada. These surveys are the first step in the identification and localisation of potential orebodies associated with the known mineralised occurrences on the claims. Preliminary results of these surveys are expected in September 2005.
Uranium Mining Corporation plc has now completed a capital raising and is expected to list on the AIM section of the London Stock Exchange later this month. Available funds for its activities, increased by the capital raising, are 3.3million pounds STG. Subranum Gold Project, Ghana (37.5% interest)
No exploration activities were carried out in the quarter.
Yours faithfully, INVESTIKA LTD JOHN B. MAGUIRE COMPANY SECRETARY
