Some people in the forum slag off the media (whatever media outlet it happens to be) when they publish negative reportage about the company. And then when an outlet publishes something upbeat about the company they all agree that particular media organisation is extremely fair and even handed.
Its a recurrent theme. It happened when the media reported the banking syndicate was sending forensic auditors into SGS, and again when the media reported some banks had written down their loans, and again when they reported that an increasing number of S+G talent was leaving the company. These stories were greeted with cries of 'liars!' and 'gutter journalism!', but of course each was later confirmed as being 100% true
Unfortunately (for various reasons) the management of the company don't always communicate very well with shareholders, so if you plan to hold for the longer term you'd be smart to consider setting up google news alerts ASAP (SGH = 'Searching Google Helps')
