As an amateur car modder for a very long time, I can say the Euro cars don't stack up well with mechanicals, plastics, interiors, etc, compared to Jap, even Oz made cars. Split dashes, oil leaks, ignition systems, rough ride, etc ... incompatible with Oz enviroment and road conditions IMO.
