Hopefully what we're seeing is propaganda driven choreography. The Israelis attack the iranian embassy in Damascus, the Iranians launch retaliatory strikes that are ineffective, then the Israelis launch strikes of their own which seem a bit insipid. Hopefully at this point both sides can climb down without needing to demonstrate any more bravado.
