has not turned a profit

I am not a geologist or don't profess to be one.So if someone said we did this and this test and had an estimated resource of xyz how do I know if they are correct.If I do research on a company and it turns a $10 million profit and has a $200 million market cap I have some way of analysing the rate of return.CDU has not turned a profit and so I have no way of valuing the company or any of its resource announcements.It also has a market cap of $300 million.This is why an investor like Buffett would not invest in a CDU.
