what is interesting to me is the number of posts this micro company gets. like in mining start ups, in bio tech land everything takes a little longer. the comments on Dr Roberts taking on chairmanship for the earnings seem crazy. His personal holding in cochlear is worth close to $1bn. This is very visible for anyone to see on bloomberg. He clearly does not care about the small salary he gets from being chair of OSL. He is obviously excited about what this little company could achieve, he knows how the regulators operate and he would be extremely well connected. He also would have had full disclosure on the technical side before signing on. i would not think he would burn his reputation on this if he was not just a little excited. obviously success it not guaranteed. The other thing he brings to the table is a strong relationship with institutional investors. Give him a chance to get his feet under the desk.
