I bought 300,000 shares of Bal.ax at 13 dollars. (long)
Just before the announcement, I put a short of 600,000 shares on Bal.ax. (short)
Bal went down to 12 dollars after announcement because on top of the put/short, I also sold my long/holding as well. (The long/holding is a loss here but by selling it for a loss, I can reinforce fear on the market and make my put/short gain a lot more than my long/buy lose)
Just check shortman for shorted stocks. however it is not the case for osl since it is too small for any company to short it.
