If we add the franking $1.72/7*10 equals $2.457
This a yield of 9.45% pa at current SP for SMSF's in pension stage.
Better than money in the bank, even on a term deposit.
I take away 4% as adjustment for inflation and buy more shares to compensate, and pay myself the remainder as a pension.
So far the banks with their shares have been pensioner's friends.
