has sgp telegraphed their intentions on fkp?

A quick flick through the Stockland Annual presentation provided some oblique clues:

In the summary and outlook section these quotes were made:

“Retirement Living – Significant upside both organically and through acquisition”

and

“Retirement living strategy presentation to be presented early September 2009 “

...now that’s interesting.

As to the investment in FKP, which they have not written down from what I can see and so that would indicate they consider their purchase price (at around 76 cents) equals “fair value” and presumably they have satisfied the auditors on this holding value....this comment is made:

“First right over retirement living assets provides option value”

I’m not quite sure what to make of the expression “provides option value”

Something is going to happen here....it’s like a blistering hot afternoon in north Queensland. You just know that the heavens are going to open up!
