    Have Saved Billions


    From 2022 to today the Govt has sent billions to overseas big pharma for antiviral drugs which has limited efficacy for the highly vaccinated Australian population and about 80% of our population are ineligible for these drugs anyway.
    Maybe the Treasurer should look at the budget savings that nasal sprays for respiratory diseases could make

    425,000 courses of Paxlovid at PBS cost of $1114
    820,000 courses of Lagevrio
    up to end of 2023 so today estimate $2.7 billion

    and yet Nasodine and other nasal sprays could have been used not just by over 70s but everyone if TGA had approved suitable sprays

    WHY DO THE REGULATORS NOT DO THE TRIALS and offer some independence
