Scott did you read Kylea Tink's version of the exchange? Sure there's a chronic problem with misongyny in Parliament, but shining a light on this pissweak exchange across the chamber to champion the need for change does no good at all. If you can't have someone speak to you like that - using her own account mind you - without running to the umpire then you probably shouldn't be in Parliament. Someone yelled something innocuous at her in Parliament about her not doing a good enough job? Well shut the gate, I gotta lie down.
I'd be prepared to change my attitude towards this incident if footage showed that the MP in question was standing over the woman 2 inches from her screaming spittle into her face at any volume, but they don't seem to have bothered including the footage. Why is that Scott? Why would the ABC not include close-up footage of the menacing exchange? Every square inch of the chamber is covered by cameras and the mics are sharp when they want to be.
Good causes can lose a lot of traction by championing garbage.
