KAR’s fundamentals are undervalued, as everyone here knows, but the Muddled East, as always, can get it where it is heading anyway sooner. The current Israel/Iran situation only ends two ways - either the Fascist Little Ayatollah says you know what, they called my bluff and I am just going to cave in and give up my nuclear bomb ambitions and not nuke Israel out of existence in a few years like I woz born to do, where do I sign up, can I have a MAGA hat please? Or… a touch more likely, he sticks to his fanatical theocratic ideology like a good martyr and goes out in a blaze of glory as Benny bombs his regime to the point of no return in the next fortnight as planned, creating a power vacuum and the circumstances whereby the Iranian population themselves have the opportunity to figure out what kind of a country they want to live in now, which could be quick, or could involve years of civil war, disrupting Iranian oil production (keeps POO elevated but as it’s mostly already sanctioned, not taking it past $100). The FLA knows he has no effective military solution and Israel will continue to swat away his pesky drones and rusty ballistic missiles like flies…but he has one donald trump card up his sleeve while he’s still in power and that is blockading the Dire Straits of Hormuz, through which >20% of the world’s oil supply passes every day and that’s when POO goes triple digits in a heartbeat until the Islamic Republic is overthrown. Just like when Mad Bad Sad Vlad thought he could march into Kiev in a couple of days, there may be a point at which flipping some KAR might be a good trick when oil takes a breather, but that’s not happening until Iran’s nuclear ambitions are permanently deactivated one way or tother. It’s only cranking up for now.
