I read where NZ has just held council elections - and the voting turnout has averaged under 40% - holy cow if that many Aussies failed to vote the fines could total hundreds of $Millions -
has anybody got a link to a fair account of the results without a paywall or nagwall ? Have results backed the Govt ? -------------- Or the opposition? I read where NZ Govt pays $50Mill per year to media orgs to help get a good press.
From media I have seen councils seem very complex in NZ - you might have a City Council - then a District Council - and even a Regional Council - so complex. I thought it was bad here.
