The bank pulled the plug knowing castlepine deal was fake in the first place (PERIOD).
This probably was the only thought that didn't cross my mind!

Cupric would've pretty well known that their 5M was up in the air somewhere and may have sounded alarm. If the bank had said ok to the deal (which they wouldn't have anyway).....the SIs would've then sold what will show as their current Top 20 holding.....on the way up (as well).
Most money were made by everybody from shorting last 1.5-2 yrs by Directors, SIs...what they were losing in their Top20 was a real loss yet insignificant to the millions that were made on the way down (through their x-y-z channels).
