    Chairman of SDL was on record Nov or Dec 2006 as suggesting these two companies should merge.

    No decision on merger needed for 4 or 5 months - until then each stock will trade on respective merits. If at EGM it seems like a good deal, then it will happen.

    Who knows, another offer for either company could emerge. If SDL results for Cameroon drilling are that good, then 2:1 may be adjusted - all will be revealed in due course.
