Since selling my shares at a massive loss I havent really been that interested in checking out the Hastie threads but then I saw the article in the AFR and thought I would check in to see what people now think. I agree with you Rosencrantz, the banks have been very silly and Im concerned as its a huge amount they are going to lose and I have shares in the banks. The amount involved has to have an impact and if the banks have been this silly with Hastie what other terrific investments have they made out there. May be difficult to get money from the bank for a mortgage but clearly getting funds for business, no matter how dubious is very easy.
One thing that did cross my mind was what the customers and suppliers of Hastie will think when they read the AFR article.
