    Hastings port on Westernport Bay is to be the focus of major development by the Vic government. Rumoured that $12 billion will be spent developing the facility.

    Railway line runs to Stoney Point (just past Hastings) on a spur line just out of Caufield. Rail runs from Latrobe Valley to Caufield through Dandenong.

    Question is would it be feasable to contect Dandenong with the Stoney Point line via a link between Cranbourne and Frankston or could the spur to stoney point be rejigged just outside Cranbourne?
