All the ups and downs are just noise, its going down to at least 1200. I finally came to the realisation a while back that much of the gold trading these days has nothing to do with gold- its just numbers on a screen with ETF's and options and every other derivative out there. Real gold is no longer being traded and the amount of gold being theoretically traded doesnt exist in the real world. Also the theory that the world will turn to Gold because paper currency is flawed seems unlikely also. Ultimately gold is just a coloured metal that is nice for jewellery, but too expensive for that at the moment. It will not solve the problems of corrupt and self serving governments around the world. Bubble burst and back to levels where ordinary people can afford a neclace made of it again unfortunately.
