Not certain how ASIC can let this happen. Prior to the drop there were plenty of buy orders between, 22.5 and 18.5, then at 3:30pm, 3765 shares were traded (totalling $696), that jumped over all the existing buy and sell orders at higher prices. The only way this can happen is if someone wanted to push the price down and insisted on a sell at 18.5c and would not accept any of the higher priced buy orders on offer....totally incredulous from a trading perspective. My opinion is that someone with a broker account is playing funny buggers and trying to push the price down. Perhaps trying to start a stop-loss cascade panic sell off so they can buy cheaper or playing the shorting game.
Hopefully it will correct next week, nothing has really changed, although it does bother me that the ore body is pretty deep.
