That doesn't quite makes sense phish... why wouldn't he be trying to pick up low shares now with this massive volume ? If it was one player, he could sit back a bit and let the sellers come to him.
If it is a takeover player then notices will be out shortly and it would be a big driver for an upward movement.
Not too late to put in your application phish. You can even short it with a CFD and take the garaunteed 5K profit.
