And it will come to this, as these vaccines just aren't very good, and would take years to make a good one if we end up needing one.

I'll guess--- their co-morbities, not the failure of the vaccine.

I think everyone is aware that people will still die and get sick from Covid even when most of the population is fully vaccinated.

And FYI, we have many vaccines for things we don't have very good treatment for: flu, polio, measles, etc. Pretty much all the things we vaccinate for = we don't have effective treatment for.
We generally don't vaccinate against stuff we have effective treatment for.
