    Not quite. Pre decimal "silver coins" were originally high in silver content (3d, 6d, 1s, Florin, Crown) but after WW2 they were debased - they still had a silver content but much lower. Since then only the 1966 round 50c piece has a high silver content (about one third of an ounce)
