Thanks for the various comments. The more I think about it the less confidence I have in the management. Is there any reason I should have confidence? i.e. any pans to remove the CEO. Otherwise it looks like best action is dump my shares for 3 reasons: 1. no confidence in management (as stated). 2. moral issues. I realise I am so against the 'yes' campaign I think any Company that supports it (particularly using shareholders money) is unethical. In twenty years time I don't want the younger generation telling us what a mess we created by letting The Voice win. 3. I simply no longer see Wesfarmers as a business but a naive political organisation. I prefer to invest in Companies that are aiming to be profitable (albeit ethically). Wesfarmers may be profitable but is prepared to sacrifice Australia in the process.
