R.Scott and co. are very intelligent, analytical and ruthless commercial operators, and hardly whimsical when it comes to parting with money. I am confident they've looked at their customer base, and employee base, and chosen to make this as an investment for the purposes of de-risking against customer and employee attrition. Further, I'm confident they have done the analysis and the decision to donate had drivers to attract the generation, who are not all business and community leaders at the moment, and may not have the highest spend per transaction yet, but are 100% of the future customer. This generation are showing up in all data & insights to be spending based on a tight integration of both monetary value and perceived social value. So for my shareholder money, I trust their judgement, and happy with how they are de-risking my investment and focused on future growth. If you're not happy with how they are investing and/or de-risking your investment, then probably time to sell your shares.
