Trouble is with that argument is that we are only 0.33% of the global population. Plus you have to recognise a very high proportion of the things we buy are made in China, we are essentially exporting our emissions.

The yes vote payment was probably a calculated business decision. One wonders if it would have been made if the chances of it getting up were higher.
