They don't need to know the detail of that. The data and information they needed to analyse is all their own data. Data they have access to. Analysis of their own current customer, future customer, current employee and future employee groups, buying trends, and understanding how they make their decisions. All data science principles.

The $2m is a signal of support to those customers and employees, not for the outcome of the referendum. West Aussies who vote No and vote Yes are both still potential customers and employees. The way they vote doesn't mean the can't or won't shop at WES brands. The investment doesn't tie their future to the outcome of the referendum.

My point here is not about the outcome of the referendum, it's about de-risking against customer and employee attrition, and attracting potential customers and employees

Incidentally, the suggestion that people that don’t like what WES are doing can sell their shares is plain silly. The right thing to do is to raise it at the next AGM , which I am sure somebody will do.
