If I've ever read confirmation bias, there it is. Don't get confused between momentum and hype, which in the context you're trying to use it, seems to give the impression it's unfounded. I don't think anyone can argue with the idea that future performance isn't embedded into stocks, I mean it's the exact premise of what INVESTING is designed around.
