I am not sure that the COVID-19 track will bring anything meaningful - I could well be wrong but there seems to be no pointers to success in this area.
Nothing will replace a vaccine - and BIT is not chasing that - more of something to alleviate symptoms. MERCK is basically developing a cold and flu medication - with the benefits of clearing air ways and an inflammatory plus a pain suppressor.
Given that simple solution then we have to ask what BIT is doing in the field.
I still say that HIV/HepC is BITs forte and they should concentrate their efforts in that area. Having unrealistic expectations that BIT will have a huge breakthrough with OID-19 may just bring about disappointment.
Know I am not being very optimistic with COV-19 and will upset some here - sorry about that.
