With gas there can be a lot of capex in the processing plant. A clean sweet gas free of CO2 and H2S, but with plenty of pressure can be very simple and cheap to process.
Another major variable is condensate, not much CAPEX to process, but the condensate often worth more than the gas, which is of course reduces the bcf threshold to half or less compared to a dry gas.
So I guess MS may even be switching between views on these factors. Far too early to more than speculate, but the signs are good. Imo almost certain to result in follow up drilling (even if ultimately declared non-commercial), and therefore good for the sp.
I"ll be especially watching for H2S,CO2,condensate content in addition of course to reservoir size and well deliverability.
