EDN will add significantly to VAA's Canadian appeal & share price as it is a producer & will add cashflow while VAA & Great Western's tenements are being developed.

"The 'new' Vaaldiam will have the ability to substantially fund the consolidated group's advanced-stage kimberlite exploration and development costs from cash flow, thereby reducing dilution to its shareholders."

The EDN board, & the chairman in particular, are large shareholders so it is unlikely they would endorse this deal unless they saw it as a positive step.
Wouldn think that due dilligence etc would see EDN continue trading on ASX till at least September, although the in specie distribution of URM shares, which should be at a rate of 1:4, should progress more quickly.
