Maybe not Sharpshooter, but I'm pleased to say that in over 40 years of investing in the market, I haven't been burned very often.

I'm not kidding myself into believing that things are going to be easy for CGT, but I do believe that they are sitting on quite a substantial amount of gold in their other holdings, as well as a very significant deposit at Ballarat. And I also believe that we're going to see $2,000+ gold by March 2012.

Much depends now on how management go about monetising the gold, and as always, an element of luck comes into the equation.
