    ocka, you're quite correct.

    the reason I posted on HAW/LCY is that HAW seems to be considered the 'poor relation' in the JV (that's a laugh) but it simply isn't true.

    If you look at LCY the situation is about as wierd as you can get - an Australian company whose board is controlled by the Indian government. As far as I can determine LCY is actually run by a board of Indian civil servants? big problem.

    NMDC could buy out HAW's interest in MtBevan or they could simply divest themselves of their LCY interest completely. Even more comical - NMDC bought into a company which didn't even own the asset they supposedly got in for in the first place MtBevan, and the Indian guy who was the main driver for getting NMDC into LCY immediately retired once the deal was done.

    it doesn't get any whackier than what's happened with LCY....
