I maybe wrong but the use of the term execution seems to presuppose that up to this day there was a nonbiding agreement, probably because in order for it to become effective Gina had to sign it during or at expiration of a period of due diligence. If so then that would have been somehow expected and, consequently to expect the announcement to take Mt Bevan to stratosphere a bit far fetched.

"Execute means (1) to carry out, perform, or complete as required, usually to fulfill an obligation, such as executing a contract or order; (2) to sign or complete all formalities necessary to make a contract or document effective, such as signing, stamping, or delivering; (3) to put to death according to a court- ...Execute | Wex | US Law | LII / Legal Information Institute."
