You'd be surprised how coordinated and sophisticated modern arsonists can be. The 2019 Australian "bushfires" were greatly amplified by arson. "Professional arson" is now a domain of organized crime almost always involving corrupt fire fighters and corrupt police.
They say arson is a difficult crime to catch the perpetrators, yet I myself have caught over half a dozen and curiously have become rather unpopular with some fire brigades.
